BLACK MAGIC FIRM MATTRESS
A Perfectly Firm and Supportive Mattress
The Black Magic Firm is a perfectly firm and supportive mattress, it's part of MIB's most popular range, this high-quality mattress offers satisfying firmness with a touch of comfort, that has broad appeal for those searching for the ideal firm mattress.
MIB's mattresses are engineered to correctly align your spine by gently allowing the slightly heavier shoulder and hip region to mould into the mattress, thus keeping your spine straight during sleep, imagine trying to replicate your standing position when you sleep, this is generally your body's correct alignment, all of your curves and bumps should be accommodated by the mattress, so muscles can relax, recover and rejuvenate.
A mattress that causes your neck, shoulders, pelvis, or hips into an unnatural position is likely to cause stiffness, aches, and pains or place unnecessary pressure on critical points of your body.
Likewise poor pillow choice can have a major impact on posture, if you are a back sleeper a low pillow that doesn't cause your head to be higher than your body is the best choice, for side sleepers a pillow that is high enough to fill the gap between the mattress and your head, again replicating your standing position with your head straight, not tilted is optimal.
And contrary to popular belief a hard mattress will not necessarily cure back issues (refer to MIB's mattress choice guide below).
Importantly, please don't underestimate the need for a supportive base. Afterall mattresses are not self-supporting, if your base is broken, the slats are flexible or bend easily, spaced too far apart, or even installed incorrectly, it will not offer enough support for the mattress, leading to poor performance or premature failure of the product, regardless of the brand or price.
Finally for your peace of mind MIB's lowest price always policy, means we never overinflate prices, we wont try to entice you with a fake discount. You get our genuine bottom line price always.

Larger build, your recommended choice would be a firmer mattress. However, should you suffer from arthritis, poor circulation, or have hip, shoulder, or lower back pain you may also consider a Medium mattress. Tummy sleeping is not recommended, but if you canβt break the habit you should consider firmer mattresses and low pillows to minimise the arching of your lower back.
Medium build your recommended mattress would be Medium. If you are elderly or frail, suffer from arthritis, poor circulation, or hip or shoulder pain you may consider a plusher mattress to alleviate pressure points.
Medium mattresses tend to suit side and back sleepers.
Side sleepers require conforming support that will evenly distribute weight across the mattress, therefore, reducing pressure points in the hip and shoulder area.
Back sleepers disperse body weight over a greater surface area and therefore require firmer support with a more conforming surface.
Smaller buildΒ or suffer from arthritis, poor circulation or have hip or shoulder pain your recommended mattress would be a plusher feel. Plusher mattresses generally work well for slightly built side sleepers as the plusher surface will reduce direct pressure on the shoulders and hips.
Signs you need a new mattress
Your body is the best indicator, if you wake up with aches and pains that improve during the day, itβs a sign that your mattress is not supporting you correctly and causing muscular tension.
If a hotel bed or your friend's cheap spare bed feels better than your own, you need a new mattress.
Does your mattress have excessive movement, or do you roll into the centre?
Is your mattress showing visible signs of sagging either in the centre or on the sides? If your mattress is more than 10 years old, it will no longer offer optimum support or be very hygienic.
