A limited warranty covers defects and or failure of materials and workmanship for the term of warranty for the specific product.
A limited warranty provides for you and the manufacturer specific legal rights and obligations. A limited warranty may vary from state to state. A limited warranty extends to products manufactured by Mattresses in Black, located in Australia and is available only to the original purchaser (first owner), a limited warranty or implied warranty cannot be transferred to consequent owners of the product. A limited warranty does not cover factory seconds, donated, on sold or sold as is products.
To claim on a limited warranty, proof of the original purchase is required.
Email us at info@mattressesinblack.com.au, you will need to provide photographic evidence where possible to support your claim.
A representative will contact you within 4 working days, MIB will replace or offer compensation if appropriate should the claim be successful. If identical goods are no longer available, we will substitute the goods with a product of similar value and quality. If a product is faulty the seller or manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace the goods at its discretion, a successful warranty claim does not deem the buyer eligible for a refund.
If the goods are to be returned to Mattresses in Black, they must be re – packed securely in plastic for transporting (for hygiene reasons carries will not transport used mattresses unpackaged) – we suggest you keep a copy of your proof of purchase receipt in the original mattress bag, (fold the bag in quarters and pop it under your mattress or somewhere safe) Should shipping costs be required to return your mattress you will not be responsible for those costs.

The warranty is effective from the date of delivery.
A warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by abuse, neglect, negligence, accident, transport, burning, stains, cuts, mould or water damage.
A warranty will be voided should the mattress be used on an unsuitable base, for example – if the base has slats more than 70mm apart, flexible posture slats, broken slats, old wire bases, or the base is sagging or broken.
Some minor (up to 25mm) settling and or softening of comfort layers is to be expected, especially as a mattress ages and is not covered by warranty.
More severe body impressions or side sagging are covered by the warranty provided the defect is not the result of the mattress being used on an improper foundation or base.
New mattress smell is not covered under warranty.
Incorrect mattress choice is not covered by warranty but is covered by our 100-night money back comfort guarantee.
A claim that a mattress is uncomfortable, causes back ache, or is too hot is not covered by warranty, but is covered by our 100-night money-back comfort guarantee.
Bed Bug infestation, mould or mildew growth are not covered by warranty as all new sanitised materials are used in the production of our mattresses, MIB bases and MIB heads.
Mattresses must be used with a mattress protector. Stained, smelly or unsanitary mattresses will be rejected and ineligible for a warranty claim, regardless of the fault.
A mattress warranty commences from the original date of delivery and does not recommence again from the date of replacement of faulty goods.
